Job summary

You Thrive Florida seeks a Nutrition Services Coordinator to support Head Start nutrition delivery across multiple centers. You will conduct nutrition assessments, collaborate with families, and ensure compliance with USDA/CCFP standards while supporting kitchen operations and staff training.

The role requires a 2–3 year background in nutrition services within Head Start or school programs, with an Associate degree in a relevant field.

Qualifications

• Assesses nutrition for each child using screenings, interviews and documentation.
• Collaborates with parents to develop Food Allergy/Diet Concern Plans.
• Maintains child nutrition files and monitors follow-up actions.
• Coordinates with service areas to meet children's nutrition needs.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen operations, including food prep, meal service and sanitation.
• Review menus for USDA/CCFP compliance and ensure contracted providers implement them.
• Provide nutrition training to staff and education to parents and children.
• Assist in development and monitoring of health policies and training plans.
• Submit accurate reports to supervisors and budget reviews on a monthly basis.
