Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and Early Childhood Certificate or 12 credit hours or two years of experience in an early childhood classroom.
• Transcripts may be required to validate degrees/classes, up to 18 credit hours relating to Early Childhood Education.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between agency sites, community resources, and home visits.
• Must obtain a First Aid and Infant/Child CPR card within 90 days of hiring and keep current.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Agency Policy, ACF Performance Standards, and NC Day Care rules.
• Assist classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
• Support curriculum implementation and assessment processes.
• Model positive behavior and interact with children, families, volunteers, and staff.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
• Adhere to supervision protocols and Code of Conduct.
• Perform other duties as required.
