Job summary

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services in New York, NY, seeks a Program Administrator to oversee the early childhood program in collaboration with the Assistant Program Administrator. The role ensures compliance with DOE/UPK, Head Start Performance Standards, and DOHMH regulations while supervising staff and coordinating Licensing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education; credential in School Building Leadership or Administration.
• New York State Teacher's Certificate Professional/Initial Birth - 2 or Nursery - 6.
• Two years group teacher's experience.
• A minimum of 3 years administrative experience in early childhood education, including Infants.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, DOHMH licensing and DOE UPK.
• Excellent written and oral skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight of all aspects of the early childhood program.
• Supervise staff and ensure compliance with DOE/UPK, Head Start Performance Standards, NYC DOHMH regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
• Collaborate with Assistant Program Administrator to plan, develop and implement in-service training for staff.
• Monitor and review staff lesson plans and progress reports to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain licensing information and assist with new license applications as needed.
• Develop community partnerships to support program development and service delivery.
• Communicate with supervisor and senior management about department issues and program outcomes.
