The position emphasizes developmentally appropriate practices, safety, and collaboration with program staff to uphold quality indicators across CLASS, ECERS, and QRIS benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and working toward a Bachelor's Degree.
• Strong knowledge of Head Start regulations and DEEC/OHS requirements.
• Experience mentoring teachers and managing classroom teams.
• Familiarity with Cap-60 and assessment tools used for program quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and administration of a Head Start classroom.
• Supervise staff and volunteers and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provide coaching and evaluations for assistant teachers.
• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and a print-rich multilingual environment.
• Coordinate parent communication, conferences, and home visits as needed.
• Ensure ongoing alignment with CLASS, ECERS, and QRIS guidelines.
