Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Must meet DEEC Lead Teacher qualifications.
• Knowledge of DEEC and OHS regulations.
• Experience with Head Start or similar programs.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead teacher in a Head Start classroom with adherence to DEEC, Head Start standards and OHS regulations.
• Mentor, train and coach assistant teachers in developmentally appropriate practices.
• Prepare and conduct bi-monthly and annual evaluations of assistant teachers.
• Train staff on CLASS, ECERS, and QRIS to improve scores.
• Maintain documentation and ensure confidentiality and safety in classroom operations.
• Include family engagement and bilingual considerations in lesson planning.
