Job summary

LEO Inc. in Lynn, MA is seeking an Assistant Teacher (Birth to five) for a 30-hour workweek to support a Head Start classroom.

You will assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing activities within DEEC and Head Start standards, and help create a nurturing, multilingual learning environment. Qualifications include an related degree or enrollment in a CDA/AS/Bachelor program and prior preschool experience.

Qualifications

• CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or evidence of enrollment in CDA/Associate/Bachelor in ECE within 6 months.
• DEEC Teacher qualification preferred.
• Preschool experience and completion of Child Growth and Development course within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in planning, implementing, and administering Head Start classroom.
• Maintain a healthy, safe and clean learning environment.
• Engage with families to share updates and support needs.
• Incorporate CLASS/ECERS guidelines in daily teaching.
• Support activities across cognitive, social-emotional, language, and motor development.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with DEEC/OHS regulations.
