The role requires CDA credential or a degree, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work with children, and experience as an instructional assistant. Salary ranges from $30,600 to $47,058 annually with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Current CDA credential or an associate/bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and public relations skills are required.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Proficient in operating personal computers and related software.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of child growth and paraprofessional instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher or supervisor with instructional activities.
• Reinforce material through repetition and targeted support.
• Assist students with self-care to build independence.
• Prepare and maintain files and reports.
• Support individualized and small-group instruction across language arts, social studies, math, science, arts, PE, and music.
• Encourage positive behavior and supervise students daily.
