Job summary

Murray Independent Schools Head Start in Murray, KY is seeking a Family Services Program Assistant to support health, family services, and community engagement components of the Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

This role collaborates with children, families, staff, and community partners to ensure resources that promote family well‑being and self‑sufficiency. The position requires local travel and occasional evenings/weekends for events.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Implements responsibilities per regulations, policies, and program goals.
• Protects confidentiality of family data.
• Complies with FERPA and HIPAA regulations.
• Develops partnerships with staff, families, school personnel, and community agencies.
• Reports suspected child abuse/neglect to applicable authorities.
• Participates in training, meetings, and professional development.
