Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Social Service, Human/Family Services or related field; prefer a minimum of 3 years working with families.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak both Spanish and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive, strength-based relationships with families and assess goals.
• Engage families from diverse cultures using a culturally competent approach.
• Promote children’s health development and interactive learning at home.
• Engage parents in volunteering and community service within program activities.
• Coordinate with area specialists to match family needs with resources.
• Advocate for families and assist with transitions to other programs and schools.
