Neighborhood House Association in San Diego is seeking a Family Services Specialist to support Head Start families by connecting them with health, social, and educational resources. The role involves developing Family Partnership Agreements and conducting home visits to discuss and assess family needs.

You will maintain accurate records, coordinate with center staff, and advocate for families while helping them access supportive services and resources needed for program success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Child Development, Early Child Development, Social Services or a closely related Human Services field (preferred).
• Three years of experience providing direct services to low-income children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds (implied by job requirements).
• Familiarity with Head Start Program standards and local community resources.

Responsabilités

• Acts as resource and makes referrals for necessary services.
• Educates and distributes information to parents regarding health and social services.
• Establishes supportive relationships with Head Start families and co-develops Family Partnership Agreements.
• Makes family home visits to discuss and assess family needs.
• Develops and implements family case management models in support of Head Start goals.
