Job summary

SHORE UP!, Inc. is seeking a Family Service Worker to provide comprehensive case management, goal setting, and linkages to services for children and families enrolled in Head Start and Early Head Start.

The role supports advocacy, evaluation, and family engagement to promote positive outcomes. Located in Talbot and Queen Anne's Counties, candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with one year of Human Services experience, and be willing to earn a credential within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to relate positively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent listening and communication skills for collaboration and advocacy.
• Knowledge of community resources to address social service, medical, nutrition, dental, and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll children; manage waitlists and records.
• Enter data accurately on a daily basis.
• Assist families in identifying needs and connect them to community resources and referrals.
• Develop and follow up on Family Partnership Agreements and assess family needs.
