Job summary

SCMCAA seeks a Family Advocate/Site Supervisor to recruit and enroll children in the EHS/HS program, assist families in obtaining social services, and involve parents in program operation. You will coordinate home visits, referrals, and transportation support to ensure access to necessary resources.

The role requires building strong relationships with families, coordinating with staff, and guiding families through center activities, while maintaining records and participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of eligibility requirements for social services and community programs.
• Ability to develop relationships with low‑income families.
• Willingness to obtain Family Development Credential (FDC) if available.
• Valid Missouri driver's license and reliable vehicle for transporting families.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll children in EHS/HS; explain program and determine eligibility.
• Coordinate home visits and collect required information for enrollment.
• Assess family social service needs and refer to community resources.
• Provide direct services to help families obtain transportation or other services.
• Organize and train families for center committee activities.
• Ensure medical and dental exams for enrolled children and provide transportation when needed.
• Maintain records, reports, and collaborate with staff to meet standards.
• Engage parents in meetings, policy council, and program activities.
• Identify community resources and secure services for program support.
• Learn and follow mandated reporting requirements and confidentiality rules.
