The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is hiring a Family Service Worker (FSW) for the Head Start/Early Head Start program.

You will recruit and enroll eligible children and provide social services case management, including completion of child health requirements, to support program goals. This role maintains a full caseload and requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a related Human Service field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with families facing economic and social challenges.
• Strong knowledge of social work practices, child development, and local resources.
• Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification; health exam and TB screening required.

Responsabilidades

• Recruiting and enrolling children of eligible families.
• Providing social services case management activities including completion of the child health requirements.
• Supports the broader Head Start/Early Head Start system to meet program goals.
• Maintain a full caseload and waiting list; fill vacancies within 30 days.
• Conduct a minimum of two home visits per family to facilitate family plans.
• Assist families in achieving identified goals and follow up on referrals.
• Make a minimum of 10 contacts per week with assigned families; document interactions.
