Job summary

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time family advocate to recruit Head Start participants, complete enrollment, and provide case management for families.

The role involves coordinating health requirements, referrals to community resources, and ongoing family engagement within the Head Start program. The position requires a High School Diploma, a Florida FDC Course, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma and FDC Course; credential in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, counseling or related field.
• First Aid/CPR certification required; training hours for Head Start/Early Head Start within specified timelines.
• Must obtain ERSEA certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Recruits eligible children for Head Start/Early Head Start to meet enrollment, including children with disabilities.
• Completes applications, parent interviews, and enrollment processes.
• Documents all case management steps and uses ChildPlus.net for records.
• Collaborates with health services to ensure child health requirements are met.
• Connects families with resources and follows up on needs and goals.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct.
