The role requires collaboration with staff to inform families, ensure IDEA compliance, and maintain accurate records while supporting family engagement initiatives and community partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or related field.
  • Experience working with diverse families in low-income communities; bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Strong leadership and policy knowledge; ensure eligibility, verification and enrollment compliance.
  • Ability to manage and maintain confidential child records and program documentation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and pass health examination and background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Establish systems for program eligibility of Head Start participants (determination, verification, documentation).
  • Guide recruitment to inform families with eligible children, including children with disabilities.
  • Establish annual selection criteria and ensure IDEA compliance and funded enrollment levels.
  • Maintain documentation, attendance tracking, and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop family engagement strategies and community partnerships.
  • Complete required training and support program management through PFCE/ERSEA activities.
