Job summary

Macon Program for Progress seeks a Head Start Teacher to work with the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate activities in a Head Start classroom.

You will support health and safety, engage families, conduct observations, conduct home visits as scheduled, and help create inclusive learning environments. This full-time position requires a CDA/AA in Early Childhood Education, and candidates with bilingual English/Spanish skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Two years experience working with children preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support Head Start standards, health and safety practices.
• Maintain classroom organization and learning environments.
• Engage families through communications and home visits as scheduled.
• Assist with meals, supervision on the playground, and transitions.
