Job summary

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services (CMCS) seeks an Education Director-Program Administrator to oversee the center's early childhood program, working with the Assistant Program Administrator to ensure smooth operation and compliance with DOE/UPK, Head Start Performance Standards, NYC DOHMH, and OSHA.

The role emphasizes staff supervision, program quality, licensing, and community partnerships, delivering high-quality services to children and families in Head Start and Early Start programs.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Teacher's Certificate Professional/Initial Birth-2 or Nursery-6.
• Master's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education.
• Leadership credential or administrative experience.
• Minimum of 3 years administrative experience in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of Head Start standards and licensing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan day-to-day operations in collaboration with the Assistant Program Administrator.
• Provide staff supervision via daily check-ins and monthly meetings.
• Maintain high quality standards for children and families; monitor files.
• Ensure compliance with DOE/UPK, Head Start standards, and DOHMH/OSHA guidelines.
• Input data into ECED data systems and support program planning.
• Collaborate with community partners and DOE staff to support program development.
