Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate degree in Child Development.

Responsibilities

• Design and set up classroom and learning centers based on curriculum and student needs.
• Provide constant active supervision of children during all activities, indoors and outdoors.
• Conduct classroom activities.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities for each child across domains.
• Assist in screening using Brigance for 3-5 year olds to meet 45-day compliance.
• Knowledge of regulations for prevention of occupational disease and injury; universal precautions.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding Head Start families and staff per policies.
• Attend required training, including 15 hours of classroom-focused professional development and reporting of abuse/neglect.
