Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator to assist an Early Learning classroom associate instructor. You will help deliver instruction, promote children's growth, and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities include curriculum planning support, data entry for assessments, and collaboration with families. Requires First Aid/CPR and access to transportation.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• 12 college quarter credits in early childhood education required.
• EECE-related credential (AA, BA, or CDA) or enrolled in such program acceptable.
• Experience or training meeting program knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individual and group instruction to promote child growth.
• Help plan curriculum and daily activities for objectives.
• Maintain safe, healthy learning environments and records.
• Model positive behavior and supervise transitions between activities.
• Coordinate with families and support parent involvement.
• Train volunteers and support classroom operations.
