Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools seeks a paraeducator assistant for the Early Learning classroom, helping with growth in physical, social, emotional, and intellectual areas. You will support instruction, promote positive learning, and collaborate with the classroom instructor to meet program standards.

Responsibilities include team teaching, class routines, student supervision, and parent involvement initiatives within the Early Learning program.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 12 college credits in early childhood education required; multiple pathways acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individual and group instruction and monitor progress.
• Support curriculum planning and prepare learning materials.
• Assist with child screenings, assessments and data entry.
