Job summary

SACRAMENTO EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING AGENCY is seeking Head Start Cooks to support the Head Start Program. Duties include food preparation, delivery, sanitation, and maintaining records across multiple sites.

Working hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Applicants must have a CA Food Handlers Card and a ServSafe Certification, and hold a valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record; age 21+ for insurance purposes.

Qualifications

• At least one year of paid or volunteer cook experience.
• Current California Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Current ServSafe Certification.
• Minimum one year of experience as a cook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks for Head Start sites.
• Pick up and deliver food to Head Start sites.
• Assist with menu planning.
• Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation facilities.
• Assist with record keeping assignments.
