Job summary

North Central West Virginia Community Action Association is looking for a Community Collaborative Classroom (CCC) Assistant Teacher or Assistant Teacher to support the implementation of service areas as outlined in the Program Plans under the guidance of the Teacher. This position is hourly and offered as Part Year/Full Time.

Responsibilities include assisting in delivering CCC activities and supporting children with classroom tasks while adapting to group needs and supervision.

• Must assist in implementation of program plans under the guidance of the Teacher.
• Ability to support classroom activities and adapt to group needs.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, talk, and hear. The employee be able to occasionally lift, carry, or assist children weighing up to 50 pounds.

License/Training/Certification

An agreement must be signed to obtain a Temporary or Permanent Authorization and complete one of the above credentials within 2 years.
