Job summary

MAAC in San Diego is seeking an Early Childhood Education professional to coordinate and coach center staff under Head Start standards. You will monitor implementation, provide training, and ensure alignment with policy and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities include mentoring teachers, analyzing data to improve child outcomes, and collaborating with directors to plan professional development. Bilingual in English/Spanish desirable; 52-week schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field including 32 ECE units.
• 3 years of work/teaching experience in an ECE program with CA regs and mentoring experience.
• Site Supervisor Level Permit within six months; CLASS certifications within nine months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor implementation of Head Start Performance Standards at centers.
• Mentor and coach classroom staff to improve child outcomes and classroom interactions.
• Provide on-site trainings on curriculum and assessment (e.g., Creative Curriculum, CLASS, DRDP).
• Analyze education data to plan professional development for groups up to 50 participants.
• Collaborate with Center Directors and Partnership Coordinator on coaching focus areas.
