Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Head Start Classroom Instructor to effectively plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that support children’s health and education. The role involves leading a teaching team and engaging families in their children's learning.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Early Childhood Education and experience working with young children. The position offers a salary range of $19.30 to $38.81 per hour and retirement programs and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with 30 hours qualifying as early childhood.
• Experience working with young children and families.
• Successful completion of required background check and initial physical and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team to develop and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Completes assessment three times per year for each child.
• Creates a positive classroom environment aligned with CLASS standards.
• Maintains a safe and healthy classroom environment.
• Actively recruits families for volunteer participation.
