Job summary

NACOG in Williams, AZ seeks an Education Specialist to support Head Start classroom staff in delivering high quality early childhood services. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and 3–5 years’ classroom experience (or CDA with 5 years’ experience) and willingness to earn the degree within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• 3–5 years’ classroom experience or 5 years’ experience with a CDA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to earn an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Head Start classroom staff to deliver high quality education services.
• Conduct classroom observations to improve policies and ensure high CLASS scores.
• Develop action plans and staff training to meet program standards.
• Train Center Directors to ensure staff understand policies and procedures.
• Maintain records and reports to guide administrators and staff.
