Job summary

Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) is seeking staff to support continuity of care for enrolled children, including supervision, health and safety, and meal preparation, within compliance with standards.

The role assists teachers with curriculum and assessments, conducts documentation, and supports family engagement activities. Education includes a high school diploma or GED with orientation; preference for 6 months of licensed early childcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; a strong interest in working directly with children up to age five, and successful completion of training and orientation
• Six months of experience in early childcare in a licensed facility.

Responsibilities

• Welcome families daily and monitor attendance while maintaining confidentiality.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors with health and safety focus.
• Assist with lesson plans and activities to support development.
• Prepare meals, snacks, and maintain food areas safely.
• Support parent/teacher conferences and documentation compliance.
