Job summary

CLACKAMAS COUNTY CHILDREN'S COMMISSION, INC. is seeking a Classroom Aide to support teachers in delivering early childhood education in our Canby-area classroom. You will help implement daily activities, prepare materials, and monitor safety and well-being of children aged three to five.

Responsibilities include documenting observations, participating in family events, and assisting with meals under CACFP guidelines. A collegial team environment and commitment to program policies are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• Current CDA, or ability to complete CDA within one year of hire
• Knowledge of child development preferred
• Experience working with children ages three to five preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher in daily classroom activities and schedules
• Assist with follow-through and evaluation of the daily lesson plan
• Ensure classroom is equipped with materials and supplies
• Input child behavior observation notes for individualization
• Participate in Open House and other class/center events
• Use PBIS to direct and guide children
• Assist as bus monitor if needed
• Maintain a neat, safe, clutter-free classroom
• Provide child care at Family Gatherings if needed
• Assist in preparing meals per CACFP and guidelines
