Job summary

Family Development Services seeks a Center Director for our Head Start program in Noblesville, Indiana. You will serve as the operational lead, ensuring compliance with Head Start standards, licensing, and agency policies while promoting integrated service delivery.

You will supervise center staff, coordinate family services, monitor budgets, and lead training. Strong communication and leadership are essential to support school readiness and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent with ECE coursework preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience supervising preschool/infant/toddler centers as Center Director is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with Head Start policies, licensing and program procedures.
• Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with Family Advocates to ensure family services and parental involvement.
• Monitor budgets, purchases, and program monitoring requirements.
• Support teachers in implementing curriculum and child assessment systems.
• Ensure health, nutrition, disabilities, and mental health needs are addressed.
• Lead community partnerships and family engagement activities.
• Maintain records and reporting across education portfolios and portfolios.
