Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven work experience in program operations.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and best practices in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of general business practices including supervision, accounts payable, inventory control, and risk management.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement classroom activities based on the individual needs of the children and according to the appropriate level of the child.
• Provide a balanced program of open learning and structured activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations in all programs.
• Supervise staff and monitor center operations, ensuring safety and quality.
• Conduct home visits and parent–teacher conferences as needed or required.
• Maintain documentation and participate in safety and compliance tasks.
