Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting is seeking an experienced early childhood professional for a Center Director role in New Mexico's EHS/Head Start program. The director will oversee administration, regulatory compliance, staff development, family engagement, and day-to-day operations of the center and any satellite sites.

The position is direct hire, non-exempt, with a salary of $55,000 to $59,000 per year, and listed benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience with preschool-aged children and families.
• Must meet childcare licensing requirements for a Center Manager.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass FBI background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration, coordination, and daily operation of the center.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal licensing, Head Start standards, and safety/health requirements.
• Manage center administrative functions and implement policies.
• Provide performance feedback and support staff development.
• Plan monthly staff meetings and in-service training.
• Maintain accurate program records (students, staff, attendance, meals, in-kind).
• Oversee enrollment and recruitment of children and families.
• Participate in organizational committees and center initiatives.
