Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a dependable bus attendant/driver to transport children to and from Head Start centers, ensuring safety protocols at all times. Responsibilities include signing children in/out, delivering to authorized adults, and reporting health concerns to site leadership.

You will coordinate with families and staff to maintain efficient routes and adhere to safety and scheduling requirements, supporting preschool welfare and reliable transportation services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience or knowledge of preschool development and behaviors.
• Understanding safety practices for preschool children.
• Strong written and verbal communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to manage schedules while meeting child/family needs.

Responsibilities

• Transport children to and from Head Start centers safely and efficiently.
• Ensure passengers wear seat belts and proper seating is used.
• Complete daily sign on and sign off sheets for each child.
• Deliver each child to a responsible adult on the authorized list.
• Do not leave any child unattended; follow all safety procedures.
• Visually monitor health and report concerns to administrator.
• Coordinate paperwork between homes and Head Start sites.
• Collaborate with site staff, families and transportation manager to design routes.
