Job summary

Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. is seeking a Bus Driver to safely transport Head Start and Migrant/Seasonal Head Start children in California. The role requires a valid CDL (Class A or B) with endorsements, multiple certifications, and a clean DMV record.

You will conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain safe transport operations. Responsibilities include daily sign-in/out, timely reporting, and ensuring compliance with all laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid California Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B with Endorsements P & S).
• DL-45 Special Certificate (Type I or II).
• TO1 Card.
• Current DMV printout (original H-6 form) with a good driving record.
• Medical Examiner Certificate DL51A form.
• Certificates of completion for pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training (within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver children as scheduled.
• Complete and submit daily sign-in/sign-out sheets and roster sheets.
• Submit timely reports, including children's attendance, mileage, accident reports, and fuel receipts.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring all safety measures are in place.
• Maintain the bus in safe, operable condition at all times.
• Operate the bus in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Support CAPSLO's mission by ensuring safe transportation for all participants.
