Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher in Willmar, MN. You will work alongside the Head Start Teacher to foster curiosity, independence, and learning in young children.

You will help maintain organized records, support health and nutrition activities, and participate in supervision of bus transportation. Valid CDA or Early Childhood degree and CPR/First Aid are required or obtainable within two years.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of experience with children ages 3-5.
• Current CDA credential or Early Childhood Degree, or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to certify.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Start Teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Maintain organized records and classroom materials.
• Incorporate health and nutrition activities into daily routines.
• Step in for Head Start Teacher when needed.
• Assist with light janitorial tasks as required.
• Support recruitment and enrollment efforts for Head Start.
• Safely monitor bus transport to and from the center.
