Job summary

Learning Empowered in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Teacher Assistant to join our Head Start/Center for Early Learning programs.

You will work with a teaching team to implement age-appropriate activities, support the teacher, and promote family involvement to help children reach kindergarten readiness. Ideal candidates hold a GED or high school diploma, plus a CDA credential, and have at least one year in an early childhood setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• CDA Preschool Endorsement required, Infant/Toddler CDA preferred or in-progress.
• Minimum one year of experience in an Early Childhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in developing activities for preschool children and implementing curricula.
• Support parent involvement and communication to promote child development.
• Maintain safety and health standards and assist in observations and assessments.
