Job summary

Leapservices is seeking an Assistant Teacher at Whitehall Head Start Center in Whitehall, NY. You will join a small teaching team to support curriculum delivery and foster positive, child-directed learning environments.

The role emphasizes observation of children's growth and development, as well as collaboration with a family-focused team dedicated to serving children and families in the community.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license.
• Understanding of young children and low-income families.
• Toddler position requires a CDA or associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related coursework.
• At least one year of experience working with young children, preferably in infant/toddler settings.

Responsibilities

• Be an essential part of a 3 person classroom teaching team.
• Assist in the development and delivery of lessons that are in accordance with the program’s curriculum.

Salary: $19.50-$21.50 based on qualifications
