Job summary

Child Start Inc. seeks a Teacher Aide to join the Head Start classroom team for ages 3-5. You will assist the lead teacher, support planned activities, maintain a welcoming learning environment, and help with record keeping and student supervision.

The position is a 10-month role from August to June. Requirements include CDA credential or associates in Early Childhood Education, CPR/First Aid within 30 days, and willingness to work at any center.

Qualifications

• CDA credential required.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development acceptable.
• Three months experience with children ages 3–5 preferred.
• Must be able to work at any center/location.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Must pass background checks and E-Verify.

The Teacher Aide assists the teacher in conducting classroom activities, maintaining classroom environment, and supervising children and may also assist in planning and record keeping and other classroom related duties.

(This is a 10-month position August - June)

• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential required
• Associate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development also acceptable
• Three (3) months of experience working with children 3 5 years preferred
• Must have the ability to work at any center regardless of location
• Must have the ability to work at any center regardless of location
• Must be certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment
• Must possess valid driver's license and insured automobile
• Must obtain a physical and TB skin test and must pass all criminal history background checks and E-Verify
