Qualifications

• Coach individual participants in skills for excellent achievement in softball
• Plan and schedule practice programs with athletic director and principal approval
• Assist athletic director in scheduling interscholastic contests
• Prepare bids and recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms
• Maintain attendance forms, insurance records and paperwork
• Oversee safety conditions of the facility during practices and games
• Enforce eligibility criteria for interscholastic competition
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times
• Develop annual softball budget with principal and athletic director
• Evaluate assistant coaches and provide recommendations to leadership

Responsibilities

• Coach individual participants in skills necessary for excellent achievement in softball
• Plan and schedule a regular program of practice for each season with athletic director and principal approval
• Assist the athletic director in scheduling all interscholastic softball contests
• Prepare bids and recommend purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms
• Maintain attendance forms, insurance records and similar paperwork
• Oversee safety conditions of the softball facility at all times students are present
• Enforce eligibility criteria for interscholastic competition in softball
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and oversee penalties
• Develop an annual budget request for softball with principal and athletic director
• Evaluate all assistant coaches and make recommendations to the principal and athletic director
