Job summary

Midway University, located 14 miles outside Lexington, KY, seeks an energetic full-time Head Softball Coach to lead a program committed to academic excellence, student-athlete development and competitive growth.

You'll oversee recruitment to build a strong roster, organize daily practices, game planning, travel, and off-season training, while ensuring NAIA compliance, budgeting, fundraising, and promotion of the program; supervising assistants and volunteers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Coaching experience at collegiate level required, with head or assistant collegiate level experience preferred.
• Familiarity with NAIA rules and a commitment to a strong compliance culture.
• Evening and weekend work and travel for away games are required.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance.
• Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off-season training.
• Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
• Ensuring NAIA rules compliance and risk management.
• Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coaches and program volunteers.
• Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
