Job summary

Iowa Valley Community College District seeks a Head Softball Coach at Marshalltown Community College to lead the NJCAA softball program, oversee recruiting, staffing, and day-to-day operations.

You will ensure compliance with IVCCD, ICCAC, and NJCAA rules, coordinate travel and equipment, manage the budget, and collaborate across departments to support student-athletes' development and program growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Playing or coaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high-quality recruiting program with a written plan including recruitment and scheduling; maintain the MCC roster size and supervise assistant coaches.
• Direct and supervise the softball staff; manage team retention and roster management; market the program and adhere to budget and procurement.
• Coordinate travel for scrimmages and competitions; set code of conduct and enforce rules per IVCCD/NJCAA/ICCAC; participate in professional development and cross-departmental outreach.
