Complete WVSSAC Training & Certification Program and take KCS Staff Development Training on Concussions

Requirements for Certified Teachers

NewTEACHERSthat have been hired after July 1, 2012 who apply to coach on the secondary level (grades 6-12) must have completed the three hour training session provided by Kanawha County Schools and completethe On-line Concussion Awareness Course throughthe KCS Staff Development Site

The training courses will be taught throughout the year.

Cost of the course will be $15.00

This requirement will allow new teachers hired after July 1, 2012 by Kanawha County Schools to be able to coach on the first day of practice of each specified sport identified
