Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an expert Head Programmer/ CNC Programmer with 5+ years in Siemens NX CAM to lead our CAD-to-CAM team for automated 5-axis cells, and to build the programming standard from scratch.

You will program complex aerospace and defense parts, train programmers, define processes, and design probing stacks for lights-out production. Bonus for prior shop management and NX Post Builder experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Siemens NX CAM and CNC programming.
• Experience leading CAD-to-CAM initiatives for 5-axis cells.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAD-to-CAM efforts for automated 5-axis CNC cells.
• Build the programming standard from scratch and train programmers.
• Define processes and develop probing stacks for lights-out production.
• Hands-on programming of complex aerospace/defense parts (titanium, Inconel, aluminum).

Position Summary

We need an expert in Siemens NX CAM with 5+ years of experience — ideally someone who has worked as an NX applications engineer at a reseller, machine tool builder, or large aerospace shop — who can lead our CAD-to-CAM team and build the programming standard from scratch for our automated 5-axis CNC cells. You should be comfortable programming complex aerospace and defense parts yourself (titanium, Inconel, aluminum) and have a track record of training programmers, defining processes, and building probing stacks for lights-out production. Bonus points if you've managed a machine shop or programming team and have hands‑on experience with post processors in NX Post Builder or Post Configurator.

We are a small team with momentum and resources. You'll work directly with the Automation Engineer on tooling/workholding/pallet strategy and with software engineers who automate CAM workflows. It's a deeply integrated environment.
