Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Head Programmer / CNC Programmer with 5+ years of Siemens NX CAM experience to lead the CAD-to-CAM team for automated 5-axis CNC cells.

You will build the programming standard from scratch, program complex aerospace and defense parts, train programmers, define processes, and develop probing stacks for lights-out production; bonus for NX Post Builder experience. Relocation available; US citizenship or green card holder required; onsite.

TITLE: Head Programmer/ CNC Programmer

ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing

LOCATION: Austin, TXOnsite

COMPENSATION RANGE: $160,000.00 - $220,000.00 DOQ

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree preferred

CITIZENSHIP: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder and able to work for any U.S. Employer

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 5+ years experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

We need an expert in Siemens NX CAM with 5+ years of experience — ideally someone who has worked as an NX applications engineer at a reseller, machine tool builder, or large aerospace shop — who can lead our CAD-to-CAM team and build the programming standard from scratch for our automated 5-axis CNC cells. You should be comfortable programming complex aerospace and defense parts yourself (titanium, Inconel, aluminum) and have a track record of training programmers, defining processes, and building probing stacks for lights-out production. Bonus points if you've managed a machine shop or programming team and have hands-on experience with post processors in NX Post Builder or Post Configurator.

We are a small team with momentum and resources. You'll work directly with the Automation Engineer on tooling/workholding/pallet strategy and with software engineers who automate CAM workflows. It's a deeply integrated environment.
