Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a senior leader to manage and develop a world-class wireless communication systems engineering team for the Leo project, focusing on RF, PHY, DSP, MAC, and 3GPP stack design for satellite-based networks. You will oversee end-to-end system architecture, simulation platforms, and collaboration with standards bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of management experience
• 10+ years of experience wireless technology development
• 3+ years of managing a team of wireless communication system engineering
• Experience on leading a team for systems research and design for 3GPP systems such as 4G LTE, 5G NR
• Good communication skills along with writing documents, specification

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop top wireless communication systems talent
• Manage the systems team responsible for developing new technology, solutions and algorithms
• Develop system level and link level simulation platforms
• Publish and maintain implementation level specifications for HW/SW development
• Define test cases for integration and verification of end-to-end communication systems
• Support development and integration of payload and ground software for LEO networks
• Define system test cases and vectors for verification and validation
• Participate in standards organizations such as 3GPP, O-RAN
• Assess future technologies and internal innovations to drive next generation solutions
