Job summary

Mesh is hiring a Head of Engineering to lead the Full-Stack Web3 team that powers our crypto payments platform. You will guide product-influencing technical strategy, grow a senior-to-staff-engineer team, and shape the architecture for wallets, transactions, settlements, and on-chain/off-chain orchestration.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Compliance, and Legal to turn ambiguous needs into a coherent roadmap, while representing engineering at the executive level and ensuring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• 8+ years of overall engineering experience across frontend, backend, and on-chain components.
• Hands-on Web3 building blocks experience — wallets, dApps, RPCs, or on-chain/off-chain flows.
• Familiar with DeFi primitives and how they operate in production systems.
• Strong security mindset to instill reliability across the org.
• Experience setting engineering standards across a modern stack (TypeScript/React, Go/Rust/Java/Scala, Solidity).
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving fintech environment with cross-border collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy for Web3 initiatives and multi-quarter planning.
• Build, manage, and grow a team of engineers; hire and coach.
• Lead design and technical direction for wallets, transactions, settlements, and on-chain/off-chain orchestration.
• Own planning and delivery of multi-chain integrations and wallet infrastructure.
• Partner with Product, Design, Compliance, Legal, and other teams to translate requirements into a roadmap.
• Represent engineering in exec planning and reporting, influencing roadmap decisions.
