Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, seeks a Manager of Web Design and Accessibility to lead the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of its public website and intranet.

You will supervise web designers and content analysts, drive accessibility with Section 508 standards, collaborate with developers and communications, and ensure user-centered, compliant digital experiences.

Qualifications

Five (5) years of experience in web development, digital media, design, journalism, information management, or related field.
Five (5) years of experience managing large-scale websites.
Two (2) years of experience providing leadership through supervision, team coordination, mentoring, coaching, or staff development.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the public website and intranet platforms, including information architecture, schemas, functionality, accessibility, user experience, and visual identity.
Supervise web designers and digital content analysts, including assigning work, establishing priorities, providing guidance and mentoring, and supporting professional development.
Manage web, intranet, and accessibility projects and priorities, ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements and regulations.
