Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) seeks a Director of Vulnerability and Exploits to lead a core security function. The role owns the vulnerability lifecycle, guides exploit research, and develops risk models prioritizing remediation over CVSS scores, focusing on production impact in HPC and AI-scale environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in vulnerability research, offensive security, or exploit development, with leadership
• Deep hands-on expertise in vulnerability analysis and exploit research
• Strong command of vulnerability management at scale and risk-based prioritization

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of vulnerability and exploit specialists across vulnerability management and exploit research
• Own end-to-end vulnerability management across the infrastructure
• Direct an exploit research function with reverse engineering and PoCs
• Innovate risk measurement models and prioritization frameworks
• Develop approaches to prioritizing maintenance based on exploitability and impact
• Build research capability to understand vulnerability impact in production environments
• Partner with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, and Network teams to drive remediation
• Drive tooling strategy for vulnerability assessment and exploit research platforms
• Develop and maintain program metrics and executive reporting
• Stay ahead of landscape including HPC, AI workloads, firmware, and CI/CD threats
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Offensive Security teams
• Represent the function in cross-functional reviews and leadership briefings
