Job summary

Blue Man Group North American Tour is seeking a Head of Video to lead the Video Department for the 2026 tour. You will ensure the integrity and operation of all video systems and playback, collaborating with LX and Stage Management to deliver high-quality visuals in every performance.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in video systems, and the ability to travel domestically for extended periods during Oct–Dec 2026. Competitive salary with benefits during active tour periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Video/Media Tech or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in video systems or projection for live entertainment or touring.
• Proficiency with video control and playback systems (Resolume/Watchout/QLab) and knowledge of projection/LED/networking for live shows.
• Experience leading or supervising technical teams in touring contexts.
• Must travel domestically for extended periods (Nov 2026–Dec 2026) and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Video Department to achieve the creative effect for every performance.
• Oversee video systems including projection, LED walls, live feeds, playback, and control software.
• Maintain understanding of all video equipment and ensure safe, accurate operation.
• Manage live and pre-recorded video feeds with synchronized playback.
• Coordinate translations/surtitles where applicable.
• Collaborate with LX team for shared load-in and maintenance.
• Document maintenance procedures and ensure systems are show-ready.
