Job summary

Blue Man Group is seeking a seasoned Head of Video to lead the Video Department for the 2026 North American Tour. The role oversees all video systems, playback, projection, and related tech across venues, ensuring the creative intent is delivered on every show.

You will mentor crews, coordinate with LX and Stage Management, manage load-ins/outs, and maintain safety standards while adapting setups to diverse venues. This is a full-time touring position based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Video Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in video systems or projection design for live entertainment or touring.
• Proficiency with video control and playback systems and LED/networking know-how.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Video Department to achieve the show’s creative intent across venues.
• Oversee all video systems: projection, LED walls, live feeds, playback and control.
• Mentor and supervise technical staff, coordinating with LX, Production and Stage Management.
• Plan load-ins/outs, maintain documentation, and ensure safety and reliability on tour.
• Coordinate translations/surtitles where applicable and ensure timing accuracy.
