Job summary

IEM is seeking a seasoned Director of Test Engineering to lead test protocols for low and medium voltage equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across North America.

The role requires 10+ years in test engineering with at least 5 in leadership, strong knowledge of IEEE C37.20 standards, and experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Onsite in Jacksonville, FL with broad impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in test engineering with at least 5 in a leadership capacity.
• Deep knowledge of low and medium voltage power equipment and safety considerations.
• Experience developing and implementing test plans and processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of testing per IEEE C37.20 and related standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ANSI).
• Familiarity with automated test equipment (ATE), data acquisition systems, and PLCs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high‑performing test engineering team across facilities.
• Define the strategic direction of the test engineering function aligned with product roadmaps.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Management to integrate test strategies.
• Design and validate comprehensive test protocols for low/medium voltage equipment for safety, performance, and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, metrics, and tools.
