Job summary

Autocar Truck LLC is seeking a Manager of Training & Publications in Hagerstown, IN or Birmingham, AL. You will lead the development of technical training programs and oversee service documentation across our product portfolio.

The role combines instructional design, technical communications, and publication management to ensure accurate, engaging materials that support safe operation and maintenance of Autocar products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Engineering, Education, Business, Automotive Technology or related field.
• 5+ years in technical training, instructional design, or publications management.
• Experience creating and managing technical documentation and collaborating with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and manage digital training programs and e-learning content.
• Create driver and operator training programs for vehicle operation and safety.
• Develop training materials for new vehicle platforms and features.
• Deliver live virtual training to technicians, operators, dealers, and customers.
• Travel up to 20% for in-person training and demonstrations.
• Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback and metrics.
• Develop testing and certification programs to validate learning outcomes.
• Maintain training schedules and certification records.
• Oversee lifecycle of service manuals and technical publications.
